Your best Speed Points.
Chase your place.
Your best time determines where you rank against everyone on that Course. First earns 100 points, second 99, and so on to zero. Your best Speed scores from eight different Courses count, up to 800 points.

02 / The rules at a glance
Two ways to build one score. The intended Season 01 model uses the same 100-point placement scale on every Course.
Your best time determines where you rank against everyone on that Course. First earns 100 points, second 99, and so on to zero. Your best Speed scores from eight different Courses count, up to 800 points.
Every time you complete a ROVA Course, you earn its listed distance in ROVA Miles. One mile is one point. Slower repeats count too, with no mileage cap.
Start scoring with your first Course. Speed Points can change as other runners post faster times.
03 / Your approach
Twenty Courses. Your best eight Speed scores. Every ROVA Mile. How you approach the Season is up to you.
Find Courses where you can compete, then return to improve your times. First place earns 100 Speed Points on any Course: short, long, flat, or hilly.
At home on technical trails? Head to Apex. Prefer a steady road rhythm? Try Wash Park. Different terrain gives you different places to compete.
A less contested Course can be an opening. Explore the lineup and follow the standings: fewer runners doesn’t mean fewer points. Your position can change when someone new shows up.
Keep a convenient Course in your week. Every completion adds its listed miles, even when you don’t beat your best time.
2.5 + 2.5 + 2.5Three Wash Park Runs. 7.5 Mile Points.
One Course Speed score.
Chase a time. Explore an opening. Keep your regular loop. There’s more than one way to approach your Season.
04 / Fair competition
Every recorded Run is checked against the Course path, location accuracy, and timing. Results flagged for review stay out of the standings until accepted by the Race Director.
How results are reviewed05 / The details
The simple version is above. The specifics are here when you want them.
Read the safety guideYou don’t need to be the fastest to have something to chase. Improve a time, explore the lineup, or build your ROVA Miles. Higher Course positions earn more Speed Points; completed miles add points too. Those contributions aren’t weighted equally.
ROVA Miles come from completed, verified Season Courses recorded in the app. Each Run earns the Course’s listed distance, rounded to a tenth of a mile. Extra GPS distance, warm-ups, training elsewhere, Practice Runs, and unconfirmed results don’t earn Season credit.
Season 01 is intended to use 100 points for first place, 99 for second, and one fewer per rank down to zero. Equal times share placement and points: 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 4th. Every Course uses the same scale, regardless of distance, difficulty, or participant count. Your best eight Course scores count, up to 800 Speed Points. You start scoring with your first Course. Final Season 01 rules will be published before registration opens.
Yes. Every completed Course Run adds its listed miles, even if it’s slower or outside your best eight. There is no ROVA Miles cap. A slower Run doesn’t replace your best time, and uploading the same Run again doesn’t earn extra credit.
Course Speed Points use your position against everyone on that Course. Men’s, Women’s, and age-group views show the same Season Score. Equal Season Scores are ordered by Speed Points, then the number of different Courses completed, then Run count. If all remain equal, runners share placement. The separate ROVA Miles board adds no bonus points.
Your Course position can change as other runners post times, so Speed Points can rise or fall throughout the Season. Your completed miles keep adding up. If a result is later disallowed, its points are removed. Final standings follow the Season’s upload and review windows.
ROVA checks recorded GPS data against the Course path, location accuracy, and timing. Runs flagged for review stay out of the standings until accepted. The Race Director reviews the available evidence before deciding whether a result counts.
No GPS system is perfect. Normal signal errors and unusual running conditions are considered during review.
Season prizes are part of the planned league experience. Award categories, rewards, and eligibility will be published before registration opens. Special challenges may offer their own recognition or prizes; they don’t add bonus Season Score points. No particular prize or placement is guaranteed.
